Chance to try sport of royals

Fancy learning to ride a horse, and thump a ball with a mallet at the same time?
Then join with a programme that introduces school pupils and university students – and older people too if they feel inclined – to polo, the game you probably thought was solely for the rich and famous.
Ten years ago the New Zealand Polo Association (NZPA) initiated a programme called Supa (Schools and Universities Polo Association) to introduce newcomers to the game without having to fund all the necessary equipment, including a pony.
There is no costly outlay unless you progress from the Supa programme to a Canterbury club team.
